The district attorney has announced that Yvonne Ngoiri, 36, a former tenant at 2 Gage Street, has been indicted by a grand jury. There are further charges against her, including arson and assault and battery.

The fire started early on the morning of May 14. Police say that smoke inhalation and “thermal injuries” caused the deaths of 47-year-old Joseph Garchali, 53-year-old Christopher Lozeau, 41-year-old Vincent Page, and 29-year-old Marcel Fontaine. Still another female jumped out of the burning house, severely injuring herself.

On Thursday, officers from the Worcester Police Department arrested Ngoiri, and on Friday, she will be arraigned in Worcester Superior Court.
