Sean Casten represents Illinois’s 6th congressional district in the United States Congress. The district includes portions of five counties in the western suburbs of Chicago. He was born to American parents in Dublin, Ireland, and raised in Hartsdale, New York. From 2000 to 2007, Mark Casten was the president and CEO of Turbosteam Corporation. In 2007, he co-founded Recycled Energy Development (RED) with his father, Tom Casten. An investor sued the company in 2015, alleging mismanagement by Casten.
