Gerry McIlroy and Rosie McDonald are the parents of Rory McIlroy, a professional golfer from Northern Ireland. A member of both England and PGA tour, he is a former world no. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking with over 100 weeks spent in that position. 

Along with Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, their son is one of three players to win four majors, 2011 U.S Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship, and 2014 PGA Championship, by the age of 25.

Gerry and Rosie’s son, who has represented Europe, Great Britain & Ireland, is the youngest player ever to reach 10 million pounds in career earnings on the European Tour.

Recently, on 17 July, their son was mad at the golf club. Apparently, he missed on the 14th hole resulting in him getting mad and launching the club in the air.
