As social media has become a platform where you can share your thoughts and is also one of those platforms from where you can support a cause strongly and make it happen. Recently, social media is flooded about racist and racism. People are using hashtags to make their movement successful against racism and the violence people are due to their skin color.

As there was always a debate about racism going on but after the case of George Floyd who was brutally killed by a police officer many people are raising their voice against racism. In more than 20 cities of the United States thousands of people are on roads protesting against racism and for the justice of George Floyd.

So the anti-Black racists are having #whiteoutwednesday today….

White Out Wednesday Meaning: #whiteoutwednwsday Explained

On June 2, 2020, Tuesday’s Instagram feed was filled with the movement called “Blackout Tuesday”. In this movement, all the feeds were filled with black squares which were advocating for equality in America addressing police brutality. To turn a black eye on it racist people perpetuate the “White Lives Matter” and “All Lives Matter” movements and started “White Out Wednesday” just after  Blackout Tuesday movement.

On this White Out Wednesday they are filling social media with plain white square images which were accompanied by #WhiteoutWednesday and #WhiteLivesMatter hashtags. Though this hashtag was done by many well-known people k-pop stans are flooding with the racist hashtag with unrelated gifs and photos. K-pop fans are tagging their favorite k-pop artist photos videos under the White Lives Matter and White Out Wednesday hashtags.

Though the hashtag  “Blackout Tuesday” was to support the movement against racism the hashtag White Out Wednesday can be considered as another way to make black voice silent.

The only thing black people are wanting is for them to be treated nicely and for them to have equal rights as every other white people.
