Video; News Anchor Julie Chin Suffers ‘Beginnings Of A Stroke’ On Live TV
Robert Clark Tulsa, Oklahoma’s KJRH NBC news anchor Julie Chin recently admitted she had the “beginnings of a stroke” on air. The newscaster was delivering her Saturday morning report when she began to fumble over her words and appear to be unable to read her notes.
It was as if the incident had come out of nowhere. After a great night of sleep, I felt fantastic before our performance. However, things began to unfold over the course of several minutes during our newscast,” Chin wrote in a detailed Facebook post.
In the beginning, Chin “lost partial vision in one eye,” and then “a little bit later my hand and arm went numb,” she said. When my lips refused to form the words on the teleprompter, I knew I was in deep trouble.
the host “desperately tried to steer the show forward but the words just wouldn’t come,” she said.

Her coworkers noticed something was off and called 911, so she “spent the last few days in the hospital undergoing all sorts [of] tests.”
I am relieved to report that all of my lab results were within normal range. The doctors believe I may have experienced stroke symptoms but not a full-blown attack. “There are still a lot of questions, and a lot to follow up on, but ultimately I should be fine,” she said.
After further testing and investigation into what may have happened to her, Chin said she would return to her news anchor chair to share more stories.
