This year has been really challenging for Taylor Swift for more than just one reason! Here’s why her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn has been the one ray of sunshine in her life lately and why she is so grateful to have him.

As you know, 2020 has been one of the worst years in pretty much everyone’s lives because of the pandemic but when it comes to Taylor, the COVID-19 threat was not the only thing that made her struggle.

After all, the singer is also dealing with her mother’s health battle.

The superstar first revealed to the public that her mom, Andrea had been diagnosed with cancer back in 2015.

Unfortunately, the cancer came back in 2019 and at the beginning of this year, Taylor shared during an interview for Variety, that the medical specialists had also discovered a brain tumor!

Obviously, none of this is easy to deal with but at least Taylor has her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, who sources claims is her own ‘constant’ through al the darkness and uncertainty.

Joe has truly been her best support system and she is really thankful to have him by her side.

The insider tells ET that Taylor Swift ‘has been having a really tough time with her mom’s health, but she is getting treatment and she and the family have been trying to stay optimistic. She’s been focusing on her music and on spending a lot of time with Joe. Taylor actually wanted to take time to herself and her family this year, so in that regard, the quarantine and the break has been positive for her.’

They went on to add that ‘Joe has provided such a great support system for Taylor. He’s the one constant in her life that she can truly always rely on. He has helped Taylor with her music, inspiring it. She’s so grateful for him and so in love with him. He’s her cheerleader and rock. They’ve spoken about their future together and they love celebrating the holidays together so they are looking forward to that.’
