The unfortunate news of the death of Taiwo Odukoya happened in the United States on August 7, 2023, he was 67, and best known as a Nigerian pastor of Pentecostalism. He was the senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, with a membership strength of over 8,000 people.

Odukoya at the time of his death was married twice. He first met his first wife by name Bimbo Odukoya Williams at the University of Ibadan and the two began dating and later got marriage in 1984. Their marriage was blessed with three children.

Odukoya and Bimbo were together for 21 years, before one faithful day on December 10, 2005, Bimbo Odukoya, along with 102 other people, died on the crashed Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya mourned his wife for five years, and once again found love, and on January 5, 2010, he got remarried to his second wife Rosemary Simangele Zulu from South Africa, and their marriage was blessed with two boys.

Life we say has never been fair, on the second time Odukoya lost his second wife to cancer. He announced the death of his wife on November 9, 2021, saying that she “battled cancer for the better part of two years.” Their marriage lasted for eleven years.

Odukoya was blessed with five children from his two marriages he had. He had three children from his first wife and they are Jimmy Odukoya, Tolu Odukoya Ijogun, and Tobi Odukoya. His second wife also gave him two children before his death, who are Jomiloju Odukoya, and Timilehin Odukoya.

Odukoya was born and raised by his Nigerian parents. Their details are not known, however, he was born on June 15, 1956, in the city of Kaduna, Colonial Nigeria, where he was also raised.
