Steve Lund is a Canadian actor best known for playing Nick Sorrentino in the horror-fantasy series, Bitten (2014-2016). Prior to Bitten, Steve was popular for starring in Haven (2010-2015) as well as the 2011 web series, Yukonic!

Steve Lund’s Bio

Steve Lund was born on 29th January 1989 in the city of Halifax, in the Nova Scotia province of Eastern Canada. Lund who is a middle child, grew up in Halifax alongside his older and younger sister. While his father’s identity is not known, his mother’s name is Chickie Lund.

Growing up, Lund initially wanted to become a hockey star. He practically moved towards this career path, joining Quebec Major Junior Hockey League club, Halifax Mooseheads in 2005 at the age of 16. While playing for the Mooseheads however, he sustained a severe injury that permanently foiled his athletic dreams.

Meanwhile, Steve also showed early his talents in the performing arts. As an elementary school pupil, he had participated in his school’s production of Lion King. As a high school student, Steve also led The Steve Lund Experience singing band. He, therefore, diverted his attention to the field, and subsequently enrolled at the Vancouver Film School in British Columbia where he studied acting. He later moved to Toronto, Ontario to fully practice his acting profession.

Movies and TV Shows

Steve Lund debuted his professional acting career in 2009 at the age of 20. He first appeared as Frank in a short film titled End of Message in his debut year. The next year, 2010 saw him play Dr. Rice in yet another short film, The Dunwich Horror.

Steve later landed his first major role in the 2011 adventure web series, Yukonic!, starring as lead character Stewart. The same year, he earned guest roles in several TV series including Alphas, Being Erica, Lost Girl, and Blue Mountain State. In 2012, Lund featured as a Marine Guard in an episode of The CW spy-fi thriller, Nikita. He also played the minor role of an attractive guy in an episode of the American legal drama series, Suits. Between 2012 and 2015, Steve respectively played the recurring and guest roles of a Colorado Kid and James Cogan in the American-Canadia series, Haven. In 2013, he portrayed a variety of guest characters in the following films: Hemlock Grove, Beauty and the Beast, Defiance, and The Golden Ticket.

In 2014, Steve appeared as himself in the “Katie Chats” episode of My Roommate’s an Escort. The same year, he played the major role of Nick Forbes in the family TV film, The Best Christmas Ever. Also in 2014, Lund earned a starring role in Bitten, starring alongside Laura Vandervoort whom he had earlier worked with in Haven. He portrayed Nick Sorrentino in the Canadian horror/fantasy drama until 2016, earning vast prominence through the very successful series. Still portraying Nick in Bitten, Lund played minor roles in two 2015 television movies, Flung and Christmas Incorporated. He also appeared as Jimmy Cooper in another TV film, Crossfire in 2016. Steve Lund later landed the recurring role of Jake in the CBC TV sitcom, Schitt’s Creek, (2016-2018).

2017 was a busy year for Lund as he landed a variety of roles (recurring and guest/minor) in several television films and series which include Reign, Good Witch, Tomorrow’s Shadows, Clusterf*ck, The Art of Us, and Christmas Cottage. He also played a recurring role in Frankie Drake Mysteries from 2017 to 2018. Steve later joined the cast of Street Legal, starring as main character Adam Darling in the 2019 revival of the CBC 1987-1994 legal drama.
