She had been a consultant for the company since February, earning $10,000 a month for about 15 hours of work per week. Fagan claimed that she was researching cannabis regulations for the firm, including laws and policies in other states.

However, it was also revealed that Fagan stood to make $30,000 per license that Veriede Holding obtained outside of Oregon and New Mexico. The company’s owners are also political donors to Fagan, raising further questions about potential conflicts of interest.
