The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said on Facebook that deputies were called to a “strip mall” business at 12:30 a.m.
Two young women were found deceased and numerous others had ‘gunshot-related’ injuries when police arrived.
According to Don Webster of Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc., they were called to the scene at 12:37 a.m. and took four people to the hospital with gunshot wounds. It was reported that the patients’ conditions were stabilized.
According to Webster, several additional people who had been shot had driven themselves to the hospital, but he was unable to provide details about the number of victims or their current health.

On Sunday morning, there was a shooting in Huntsville that left two people dead and several others wounded.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said in a Facebook post that they were called to a business in a “strip mall” on Highway 72 and Mastin Drive at about 12:30 a.m., which was located between Ryland Pike and Jordan Road.

At around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a call about gunfire and found several wounded and two bodies.
HEMSI was called to the scene at 12:37 a.m., according to Don Webster of HEMSI, who spoke with News 19. Four people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. It was reported that the patients’ conditions were stabilized.
According to Webster, several additional people who had been shot had driven themselves to the hospital, but he was unable to provide details about the number of victims or their current health.
A representative for Huntsville Hospital said Sunday morning between 1 and 5 a.m. that the facility had been placed on lockdown. The lockdown, which the spokesperson claims was related to the incident but was merely precautionary, was explained as follows.
A pedestrian, age 40, was killed in an accident in Jackson County on Sunday, prompting a local antique shop, Junkabillies, to post on Facebook that they would be closed “for the next few days”
The Vinyl Hub, a similar business in the area, also announced on Facebook that it will be closed for the foreseeable future as a result of the incident.
