Hajia Bola Shagaya is among the top 10 richest individuals in Nigeria and one of the richest women in Africa according to Forbes.

Hajia Bola Shagaya was born on 10 October 1959. She is the daughter of Adut Makur a Sudanese seamstress and Emenike Mobo, a prominent Nigerian Public Servant.

She is currently married to Alhaji Shagaya, a millionaire and Kwara State-based transport mogul. The couple is blessed with six children; Sherif Shagaya, Hakeem Shagaya, Deeja Shagaya, Naieema Shagaya, Amaya Roberts Shagaya, and Adeena Roberts Shagaya.

Hajia Bola Shagaya is the managing director of one of the largest importers and distributors of base oil in Nigeria, Practoil Limited. She is also a board member of the unity bank.

Forbes 2020 estimates her net worth to be USD $950 million.
