Oguchi Onyewu was raised in his hometown, and was Saint at Andrew’s Evangelical School and Sherwood High School. Later, he played college football for two years at Clemson University in South Carolina.
Oguchi Onyewu began his football career at Metz while playing for Metz. It was loaned to La Louvière, and everyone had a story of failure and success. And his success story began with Standard Liege, where he spent most of his career at Standard Liege, scoring 11 goals in 139 matches with Liege. While playing with Liege, he also played for Newcastle on loan. From 2004 to 2014 he played for the United States national team.
