Nazanin Kavari was born in Romania on 7 December 1998, so her zodiac sign is Sagittarius and she holds Romanian nationality. She is a model and a YouTuber, best known for the fashion videos she creates and in which she gives advice about clothes and make-up.

Early life and education

Nazanin spent only the first three years of her life in Romania, as her Persian parents who came to Romania not long before she was born, decided to move to the USA in search of a better life. She has an older sister named Yasmin and an older brother called Amir, and the three have been very close to each other over the years.

Nazanin attended Olentangy High School located in Ohio, matriculating on 6 June 2017, and then decided to forego college and focus on her career on the internet. She was physically very active while attending high school, as she played lacrosse for the school’s team, and was also running track and dancing. She grew up listening to rap music – two of her favorites were Kanye West and Schoolboy Q.

Career as a YouTuber

She launched her eponymous YouTube channel on 9 September 2012, while her first video entitled “My Hair Care Routine+Tips (Thick,Curly hair)” was uploaded on 11 March 2013.

Prior to the release of the video, she announced it on her Instagram account, and in only the first couple of days, the video was viewed several thousand times. There are currently more than 1.2 million people subscribed to her channel, while her videos have been seen nearly 82 million times – her most popular video entitled “Get Ready W/ Me♡ Prom 2016” has been viewed over 1.1 million times. Nazanin mostly uploads videos in which she reviews beauty products, and she gained the attention of the “StyleHaul” marketing company, eventually becoming their partner.

On 5 June 2013, she launched the “Kavari Vlogs” channel together with her sister, with the two uploading videos of their everyday lives, as well as of pranks and challenges. Two of their most popular videos include “P*ssing Off Our Mom at the Store!” and “Follow Me Around♡ Chillin w/ the Kavaris”, among others. The channel is currently subscribed by over 310,000 people, and counts close to 30 million views combined of all their videos.

Nazanin is also an actress, as she appeared in the “Sheltered” TV series in 2017.

Rumors and controversies

Nazanin uploaded the “Our House Got Vandalized?! Vlogmas Day 23” video on 4 December 2016, claiming that several men were attacking her family house. Many people believe that the video was scripted, although it appears as real.

She had her lip injection procedure done in 2017, and uploaded her “I got Lip Injections (not clickbait)” video on 11 November in which she talks about the procedure and how the lip injections feel. She has been criticized for the video, as many people believe that this kind of video would encourage other young girls to undergo similar procedures.

Love life and boyfriends

Nazanin has been dating Kwamel ‘Mel the Dj’ Wade for nearly three years now – the two first met at a party in January 2017. Kwamel was born in Westerville, Ohio on 15 November 1995, and was raised by his father Kawonsa, who is a teacher at an elementary school, and his mother Brandi Wade who is a nurse – he has an older brother named Ka’mya. He attended Westerville Central High School, and being a huge fan of basketball, played for the school’s Warhawks team leading them to winning the OCC title. He is also keen on listening to rap and pop music.

Upon matriculation, he decided to focus on his YouTube channel which he launched on 30 November 2011, and on his career as a rapper. Kwamel asked Nazanin to marry him in January 2019, and the wedding took place on 29 March 2019. Kwamel can be seen featured in some of Nazanin’s videos on YouTube, and received messages containing threats on his Instagram account, believed to have been sent by men who were jealous of him for dating Nazanin.

She grew up watching movies, and some of her favorite actors and actresses are Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr., and Meghan Markle, while some of her favorite films include “Alice in Wonderland”, “Avengers”, and “Remember Me”.

Travelling is her main hobby and she has been to many European countries such as Switzerland and Austria, while her two dream travel destinations are Miami, Florida, and Paris, France. Nazanin is a shopaholic as she goes shopping for clothes on a daily basis – her two favorite colors are pink and red. She enjoys tasting various cuisines, with Italian food being her favorite. Some of the other things she likes doing in her spare time include reading romantic books, doing yoga, and lying at the beach with a cocktail in her hand.
