She went on to represent her country in 'Miss Universe 2005' in Thailand. Despite being reluctant initially, she later pursued a career in acting and became very popular for appearing on several nightly Ramadan television series like 'Al Hayba', 'Nos Youm', 'Samra' and 'Cello'. She was nominated for the 'Best Actress' award at the 'Seoul International Drama Awards' for her role on 'Samra'. She played the role of lawyer Ameera in 'Tarik', which is based on the novel 'Al Sharida' by the late Nobel Prize-winning Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz. Some of her other television series include 'Khatwat Hob', 'Ajial', 'Abwab Ghaym', 'Matloub Rijel', 'Law', 'Cello', and 'Nos Youm'. She currently portrays the role of Dr. Bayan Necmettin on the medical series 'Khamsa w Nos', and recently shaved her head in solidarity with young cancer patients. She eventually started competing in pageants at the age of 16. In 2004, 20-year-old Nadine became 'Miss Lebanon' and got the taste of fame for the first time. Answering the hypothetical question if she would support her son if he wanted to have sex at 18 before marriage, she had said it was beneficial for men to engage in premarital sex, but unacceptable for women. She also said, "I want women to stay women. If they equate me with a man, I’d feel like a man. I don’t want to. I want to stay a woman." She supported traditionalist gender roles, which was interpreted as if she was against gender equality. Much later, talking to 'Harper’s Bazaar Arabia', she clarified, "I defend equity not equality", adding that "I see women being way more important than demanding gender equality." Being brought up by a Muslim mother and a Christian father, she learnt to be tolerant and understanding in her faith. She has four siblings named Jihad, Chadi, Fadi, and Nada. She told 'Harper’s Bazaar Arabia' in March 2019 that growing up "in a family of five children" in the midst of the Lebanese civil war "brought us together". In fact, she was separated from her family for the first time when she went on to participate in the 'Miss Lebanon' contest in 2004.Interestingly, as a child, she wanted to study medicine and become a plastic surgeon. However, as she became involved in the entertainment industry, she decided to pursue a degree in business management as she still wanted to complete her education. According to her, "Education is culture to me, it is not only to get a certificate. Education develops and influences personality." In late 2018, she lost her father as he succumbed to complications from various illnesses.Nadine Nassib Njeim got married to civil engineer Hady Asmar on June 16, 2012 at Domaine Du Comte in Daraaoun, Lebanon. They have two children, daughter Heaven and son Giovanni.
