It looks like Michelle Williams and her husband of less than a year Phil Elverum are no longer together! The two tied the knot in a secret ceremony about ten months ago but in the end, it did not last.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the split as ‘amicable’ and says it took place at the beginning of this year.

The two were introduced by a mutual friend and it did not take them long before deciding to get married in an intimate ceremony last summer.

Since Michelle is a very private person she and her now-ex, are yet to release an official statement about their separation.

As for their relationship, it came a decade after the tragic passing of her partner and father of her 13-year-old daughter Matilda, Heath Ledger.

Michelle surprised her fans when she actually confirmed the marriage and even opened up about it during a Vanity Fair interview’ last year.

She told the publication that ‘Obviously, I have never once in my life talked about any of my relationships, but Phil is not anyone else. And that is worth something. Ultimately the way that he loves me is the way that I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel completely free to be herself, and I am finally loved by somebody who makes me feel free.’

Michelle made sure to also mention Heath, who killed himself back in 2008.
