Hugh Laurie is an English actor, comedian, writer, and musician who was born on June 11, 1959. He first became well-known for his work as one half of Stephen Fry’s comic duo, Fry and Laurie.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the two men collaborated on a number of projects, including the P. G. Wodehouse adaptation Jeeves and Wooster and the BBC sketch comedy series A Bit of Fry & Laurie. He co-starred with Rowan Atkinson in two seasons of the historical comedy Blackadder (1987–1989).

Together with his wife of 30 years, Jo Green, Hugh has three kids. One year prior to being married, in 1988, Hugh and Jo gave birth to a son they called Charlie.

Bill, their second child, was born in 1991, and Rebecca, their youngest child, was born in 1992.

The Blackadder actor tries to keep his personal life out of the media, although he did admit in an interview from 2009 that he worries about his children when he travels for work. At the time, he told Scotland’s Daily Record that being absent was “a very difficult thing.”
