She took part in the 2005 American reality series ‘R U That Girl’ hosted by T-Boz and Chilli, members of ‘TLC’, an all-girl R&B group. Although Lauren made it to the finals of the UPN program, she couldn’t win the competition. That year she shared stage with her father in a special concert held by Sib with guitarist Barry Goudreau. In 2011 Lauren and Aja collaborated with hip- hop artist, YaBoi Shad that saw her sing and co-write the song ‘Only You’. She also performed for blues rock band ‘Ernie and the Automatics’ where her father was associated as drummer.She garnered much media attention as the new girlfriend of ‘The Rock’ whom she first met in Boston in 2006 while the latter was shooting for the film ‘The Game Plan’ (2007). Although Dwayne was married to his college sweetheart Dany Garcia at that time with whom he has a daughter Simone Alexandra, his marriage of around ten years was on the rocks. Eventually the couple divorced amicably in 2007 following which Dwayne started dating Lauren.
