Katie McGowan (born on April 24, 1986) is a 36 years old tattoo artist from Arkansas who gained fame after participating in seasons 6 and 9 of “Ink Master.” Katie was one of the finalists in the sixth season and was a runner-up in the ninth season. After working for years as a tattooist, in 2015, Gowan received an incredible chance to be on Spike’s show “Ink Master.” Here she appeared alongside her master Matt O’Baugh(owner of Black Cobra Tattoos), and they both did very well in the competition, but sadly, in the eleventh episode, Kat and Matt got eliminated.

In 2017,  the Black Cobra team returned in season 9 of IM to compete against 34 brilliant artists. This time duo managed to defeat 16 teams but lost to Old Town Ink’s DJ Tambe and Aaron “Bubba” Irwin.”

During an interview with Inked Mag, Gowan revealed that she used to have bad eating habits due to her hectic work schedule. Most of the time, she used to order fast food for dinner.

One day she visited Cheesecake Factory and ordered sugary drinks and a calorie-filled ice-cream cheesecake, but after that meal, she felt terrible because it was out of her control to keep a check on her eating habits which was hurting her body. As soon as Katie reached home, she decided to take firm action.
