The comedian and actor was absent from this week’s “The View” panel, and Behar explained why to the audience.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, a political pundit and former White House director of strategic communications during the Trump administration, stepped in for Goldberg on Monday.
Goldberg is currently filming “Anansi Boys” for Amazon in Scotland. The six-episode fantasy series, based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, stars Goldberg as Bird Woman, the terrible God of Birds who wants vengeance on Anansi, the trickster god of stories.
When will Whoopi Goldberg return?
For now it is not known when she is going to return.
Hakeem Kae-Kazim (Tiger), Emmanuel Ighodaro (Lion), Cecilia Noble (Elephant), Ayanna Witter-Johnson (Snake), Don Gilet (Monkey), Malachi Kirby (Charlie “Fat Charlie” Nancy and Spider) and Delroy Lindo (Spider) round out the primary cast of the TV adaption (Mr. Nancy, a.k.a. Anansi).
