After Iggy Azalea confirmed she and Playboi Cartiare were no longer together, she felt like adding a few details about her new status as a single mom. Earlier this year, the two artists welcomed their son Onyx.

Both Playboi Carti and Iggy were very private about their relationship and the pregnancy. So, when Iggy came forward and said she was a single mom, people believed Carti was out of the picture for good.

Last week, The Shade Room spotted Iggy’s IG story which included some messages hinting at their split. “You lost a real 1!!!!” she wrote, adding another message in a separate post: “People take loyalty for granted and that’s why I’d rather be alone.”

Later on, Iggy said she was through with Carti, revealing that “what I meant last night was that I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship.”

Fans were surprised and wondered about the couple’s drama, and were even more surprised when they saw baby Onyx’s face was no longer blurred. Then, on Monday night, Iggy had one more confession.

Probably seeing all the comments from her fans, the “In My Defense” rapper decided to clear the air and explain what her split between her and Carti meant for her son. Fans believed that Iggy’s IG Story messages meant Carti was no longer in his boy’s life, so Iggy Azalea decided to follow up with one more explanation:

“Nothing I said was intended to make it seem like my (son’s) father isn’t part of his life but I’ve noticed a lot of people took it that way, so I wanted to clear the air.”

Iggy added that her son is “so loved by his dad and always had both parents in his life from day 1.” Carti hasn’t replied yet to these messages or made any comment.
