Ashley (born March 6, 1966 in St. Andrew, Jamaica) is a Jamaican-born chess grandmaster who is also an author, pundit, app creator, puzzle developer, and motivational speaker. Ashley is also a motivational speaker. He is now a joint fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University and the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The most recent FIDE ratings available were from December 2013, and he had a USCF rating of 2475 at standard chess and 2481 at rapid chess at the time of publication. In 2005, he published the book Chess for Success, in which he shared his own experiences as well as the good elements of the game of chess. HB worldwide chess event, which included the largest cash prize in the history of an open chess tournament, was the brainchild of him, and he served as the event’s primary organiser.
