Holly takes her mental health very seriously. The aim of her podcast is to create a kind, healthy and safe conversation to inspire healing and emotional well-being."I guess I've always portrayed a different image than what was actually going on and now I'm ready to speak more about my mental health journey and just show the real me rather than what I think people would like to see," she said in the show's first episode. "I hope we can continue to break the stigma surrounding our mental health. At the end of 2021, Holly revealed that she celebrated a year of sobriety. "I chose to take a break from alcohol because it wasn't improving my mental health – which for me, comes first," she wrote. "Living without alcohol has helped me feel better & be more present both mentally and physically."

Holly, who was sexually assaulted twice, seeks professional help for her issues. "I was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety and depression. Since then, I have been in therapy up to three times a week. I now have these diagnoses that I carry around with me," she said on her podcast. She even spent three months at a mental health facility seeking treatment. 

Holly also uses exercise as a method to treat her mental health issues. "What it does is allow you to process things. Whether it is cycling and chatting together, or running and having a cry on your own, you have to have that release," she said on her podcast. 

Another fun way Holly stays fit? Downhill skiing. Not only is the sport great for muscle toning, but per the Mayo Clinic, the average person can burn 314 calories per hour on the slopes. "Dr. Finnoff says to prevent some downhill ski injuries, you should identify any deficits you have in strength, flexibility or balance. Physical conditioning starts with endurance exercises, particularly aerobic, which prevents fatigue. Strength training in your leg muscles helps you maintain control and absorb shock. And balance exercises coordinate your muscles to protect your joints," says the Mayo Clinic, quoting Dr. Jonathan Finnoff, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center.
