A devastating loss has occurred within the lacrosse community, and we must break the news with heavy hearts.

Last night in Oxford, Mississippi, a car hit and murdered Drew Mitchell, a 2022 graduate who played lacrosse for our club and others for 11 years. Drew was a first-year student at Ole Miss.

Drew was the perfect example of a dedicated teammate. There was never a time when he didn’t have a grin on his face. All of Drew’s friends and family will miss him dearly.

Tomorrow before our varsity game against Marquette, we will pause for a moment of silence in honor of Drew.

Please remember Drew and his family, especially his parents Mitch and Melissa and sister Lauren, in your prayers as they go through this terrible ordeal.
