Robert Clark A mother of four from California, who was known as “the dancing hiking queen,” shared a devastating video of herself online just before she died after sliding down an icy slope from a great height.
Crystal On Sunday, 56-year-old hiker Paula Gonzalez-Landas reportedly plummeted between 500 and 700 feet down Mount Baldy’s snowy Baldy Bowl.
After the event, KTLA reported, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received a call concerning an emergency signal from a GPS device.
According to the police report, “the hiker was down on a steep and icy mountainside, surrounded by other helpful hikers doing all they could.”
Although the sheriff’s patrol helicopter arrived and hoisted the woman, she died on the way to the hospital.
Crystal Paula Gonzalez-Landas earned the moniker “dancing hiking queen” for her antics on the trail.
Family and acquaintances of the girl identified her as Gonzalez-Landas, after she had posted a brief video of herself on Facebook, the Daily Mail reported.

Additionally, she was a wonderful sister and friend to anyone who knew her. Her very existence symbolizes valour, affection, and attractiveness. Rosado of Covina remarked, “She was a shining example to those who knew her, and she was always willing to serve.”
Gonzalez-Landas posted a terrifying video four days prior to the disaster that shows her losing her footing in the snow and the snow tumbling down around her.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office reports that Gonzalez-Landas is the second person to die on Mount Baldy this year.

Dress warmly for the cooler weather and bring the right snow and ice gear, the government said.
