On Monday, February 13, three students were shot and murdered on the MSU campus in East Lansing, including Arielle Diamond Anderson, 19, of the Grosse Pointe neighborhood.

On Monday, February 20, there will be a visitation from 2 to 7 p.m. at QA Cantrell Funeral Services LLC, located at 22121 Kelly Road in Eastpointe.

On Tuesday, February 21, at 11 a.m., a funeral liturgy will be held at Detroit’s Zion Hope Baptist Church (4800 Van Dyke).

According to a statement from her family, Anderson was a sophomore at MSU who desired to become a surgeon so that she could “tend to the health and welfare of others.”

A candlelight vigil will be held in Anderson’s honor at First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, 800 Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods, next to Grosse Pointe North High School, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Anderson’s uncle Timothy Davis created a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of the family to raise money as they grieve. That campaign has raised close to $30,000 in less than a day.
