According to Ruston Police, 30-year-old Germil Rhone of Ruston was shot at Waffle House on Farmerville Highway at around three in the morning on December 25, 2022. Before the police came, the persons involved in the incident left the scene.

A rollover crash on U.S. 80, not far from where the shooting took place, was reportedly reported not long after the police received calls regarding the shooting. Rhone, who was identified as the crash’s driver by police, was taken to the Northern Louisiana Medical Center where he was later declared dead.
