Ethan Riley Dies in a Shooting, The suspect Connor Hilton under investigations
James Austin We were the only one there as law enforcement swarmed the home of a 17-year-old in Friendswood on Monday and arrested him for murder.
According to police, 17-year-old Connor Hilton’s charges have been upgraded to murder, the day after posting a $1 million bond.
Around 7:40 p.m., Friendswood Police had their guns drawn and surrounded his family’s home.
“This is the Friendswood Police Department,” an officer said on the bullhorn. “We have a warrant for 1805 La Salle. Come open the door now. Make sure you have your hands in the air.”
Several minutes went by, and the officer on the bullhorn continued to tell the suspect to open the door before someone did.
Hilton was walked out in handcuffs and he did not respond to ABC13, who asked if he had anything to say.
On Dec. 23, the Friendswood Police Department responded to a call for gunshots in the area of the 1800 block of La Salle Street. Two men were found with gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital.
One of the victims, Ethan Riley, 18, died at the hospital, according to police. The other victim, a 19-year-old, remains in critical condition.
