Mernes spends a lot of time outside. One thing she likes to do is go to the beach and go swimming. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself by the water. In this set of photos she posted, Mernes is seen on a boat and on a paddleboard. She captioned the post, "Made in Argentina."
Mernes opened up about her wellness routine in an interview. She says that she lives a pretty active life. "If I am skinnier it is because I am a thousand. But like everything, I eat well. The people around me know that I eat, it's not that I'm skinny, it's because I'm active, I dance a lot, I rehearse a lot, I'm doing things every day and I don't train, I should. Now I'm going to start swimming, but well the thing is that I never have a day off."
In the same interview, Mernes opened up about her past insecurities and spoke out about unfair beauty standards. "I didn't wear muscle or short sleeves because I said 'I have fatter arms' and people are going to judge me for that. I mean, imagine how my head was, really bad. And well, I had a really bad time at that moment and then I understood that it is not like that and that nothing is wrong. But you know what happens? It's that people put me in that place of the Argentine woman, that you have to fulfill a stereotype, that you have to wear these clothes, that you have to say or do this. And she broke my head that she felt that she had to comply with things that society imposes on her that are stupid."
She grew up admiring Thalia, Rihanna and Beyoncé. "I would watch them on TV and I couldn't believe it. I'd say: 'I hope one day I can see myself like them!' Because whenever I listened to them, they instilled a message of power and confidence in me," she told Billboard.
