Dustin Johnson’s resignation from the PGA Tour has sent shockwaves throughout the golf world and caught everyone off guard.

The former world No. 1 and 2020 Masters champion, resigned from the PGA Tour on Tuesday as he prepared for LIV Golf’s inaugural tournament.

Johnson is one of the top golfers who have decided to participate in the Saudi-funded golf league.

Among those competing in their tournaments are, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, and Kevin Na.

He was reportedly enticed away from the Tour by an enticing offer.

Johnson signed a $125 million contract last week, according to The Telegraph, though the length of that contract was not immediately known.

For your information, the 37-year old  South Carolina- based American golfer happens to be the son of Kandee Johnson and Scott Johnson.

Johnson is known to have been raised together with his only siblings Austin Johnson, and Laurie Johnson. 

However, both siblings have different careers and have achieved success in them, just as their senior brother Johnson has in golf.
