Alabama Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon Dr. Mack Barnes went away unexpectedly, according to an online obituary posted on Saturday, June 25, 2023. The cause of death, however, was not made public.

Sadly, Wendy Machen Allen posted the following on their official Facebook page:

“Our beloved Dr. Mack Barnes, you set the bar high, and the gap in our hearts that you left is enormous. He had the most patience and the biggest heart, and he was skilled, kind, helpful, respectful, sympathetic, and courteous.

He will be missed, yet that doesn’t seem to express how we feel. We are all comforted by the idea that the sky now sparkle so brilliantly as he joins the company of angels and that we will see him again. We are all aware that he heard.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the deceased’s family and friends, who have been struggling with the loss of such an intelligent and compassionate individual.
