Board certified rheumatologist and active member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Arthritis Foundation. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida where he was awarded the Mayo Brothers Distinguish Award in recognition of an outstanding record in clinical performance, humanitarism, research, and scholarly activities. In 2007, Dr. Martorell completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He has published several research articles in prestigious academic journals. During his training in Rheumatology, he participated in the implementation of a research protocol for the use of new diagnostic test for Lupus. He also completed additional training in muskuloskeletal sonography at the University of Rochester and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. At present, he is an active participant of the Medicare's Physician Quality Reporting Initiative. Dr. Martorell opened ARC-Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic in 2007 in Davenport, FL. At the present time, he has offices in Orlando and Haines City.
Dr Martorell is affiliated to Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center and Dr. P. Phillips Hospital.
