Crystal Mcdowell had a tragic childhood as her parents had passed away when she was a young 11 years old girl. 

She had been raised in her cousin’s house by her uncle Jeff Walter and his wife. 

Crystal Mcdowell had been married to her ex-husband Steven Mcdowell for ten years and had two beautiful daughters. 

After things didn’t go well she decided to separate from her husband in 2017. They had decided on joint custody for the children. 

Before she went missing she was supposed to pick up the kids from Steves house but things didn’t go well for her.

Crystal Mcdowell from Texas had been tragically murdered as found by further investigation when her body was found in the woods.

When her boyfriend Paul and her Uncle Jeff felt something was not right from Steves denial of her ever coming. They tried to do everything they could to find out about her and even hired a private investigator.

The leads and proof ultimately led to Steve and when confronted by the police he led them to the body of Crystal buried in the woods. 

After finding the body, he confessed to strangling Crystal over a discussion on her having a happy life despite leaving him and moving on so fast. 

Steve was then sentenced to 50 years in prison by the court for the murder of Crystal.
