Arlo Faces His Fears In First Clip For Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur
Isabella Floyd 2015 is an important year in Pixar’s long and prestigious history in that it will mark the first time that the company has debuted two animated features in the same year – and neither of them are sequels. Back in June, the esteemed animation maestros yanked on our collective heartstrings with the rather excellent Inside Out and now, due to a somewhat turbulent development, The Good Dinosaur will complete that one-two punch when it lands in November.

J. Buckley, Steve Zahn, Jeffrey Wright, and Marcus Scribner now poised to topline the primordial tale.
Centering on Arlo the Apatosaurus, today’s debut clip reveals the formative steps our protagonist takes toward his coming-of-age story, long before he’s separated from his towering father and must partner with the feral human boy, Spot. From a clumsy and forgetful triceratops to grouchy T-Rexes, Arlo’s journey will have him cross paths with an array of colorful characters in typical Pixar fashion, as he goes through Hell and high water in order to return home to his wayward father.
Whether The Good Dinosaur can emulate the success of Inside Out, however, is another question. Pixar’s latter original IP pulled in an eye-watering $890 million at the worldwide box office, meaning that Peter Sohn’s wondrous adventure has its work cut out if it really is to follow in those footsteps to box office stardom.
Arlo will embark on his coming-of-age story when The Good Dinosaur stomps into theaters on November 25.
