The pedestrian in a deadly car accident that occurred in Santa Cruz County on Thursday morning has been identified as Yosef Cohen of Santa Cruz, California.Cohen, 28, died after being hit by a car in Aptos early on Thursday.According to accounts, Cohen was hit by a passing Honda CRV driven by a 66-year-old Aptos woman as he was seen by witnesses rushing through traffic on Highway 1 at Freedom Boulevard in Aptos.Cohen received blunt force trauma injuries in the incident and was later declared dead.There were no charges filed against the Honda driver, who was unharmed, and no citation was issued at the scene.The cause of the tragic tragedy is still being looked into.
