YNW Melly is a rapper and artist from the United States (short for Young Nigga World Melly).

He goes by Jamell Maurice Devils in real life. The most well-known of his songs are “223’s,” “Murder on My Mind,” “Mixed Personalities” (with Kanye West), and “Suicidal” (featuring Juice Wrld) (featuring 9lokkNine). His breakout song, “First Song,” is widely recognized as having helped him become more well-known following his alleged double murder of two other rappers from the “YNW” crew.

His debut album, Melly vs. Melvin, was published in November 2019 and reached its highest point on the Billboard 200.

Jamie Demons-King is the mother of YNW Melly. She raised YNW Melly as a single mother because there is no information about his father.

Demons-King was born in the ninth grade, having been pregnant when she was 14 years old. His mother afterwards moved to a less affluent area of Gifford and struggled to pay for rent and essentials. YNW BSlime, the younger brother of Demons, is a rapper.

At an early age, demons joined the Bloods gang. When he was 15 years old, he began sharing his music on SoundCloud. Devils were detained in late 2015 when he opened fire on a group of teenagers close to Vero Beach High School.
