Having grown up with a troubled childhood, he first began taking music seriously in the early 2010s. He gained initial exposure through SoundCloud where his unique style and unconventional techniques grew his popularity rapidly. XXXTentacion first entered the limelight of the international music industry with the huge success of his debut album, 17. On June 18, 2018, he was leaving a motorcycle dealership when two armed men tried to rob him.
