Early Life
Xavier Mortimer was born on June 20, 1980 in Braiçon, France. He studied at the Music and Dance Conservatory of La Rochelle. He also went to the Desmond Jones Acting School in London and the Jacques Lecoq Acting School in Paris.
Career
Xavier picked interest in magic at a tender age after he saw a a magician performing at a local restaurant. He got a magic book from his father and studied it repeatedly.
He sold flowers at the local market in the 1990s and was able to purchase his first magic prop, a flying handkerchief. He was already part of the magic circle in France at the age of 15.
He teamed up with the acrobat Thibaud De Premorel to form an act called Les Freres at the age of 18, and they performed together at concerts and corporate events.
He opened his one-man show called L’Ombre Orchestre (The Shadow of Orchestra) at Theatre Le Temple in Paris, in September 2015.
He performed at Crazy Horse in Paris, Just for Laughs in Montreal, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
He expanded his performances to include online content in the later part of 2019. He with top personnels like Jason Derulo, Justin Flom, and Rick Lax to create collaborative online video projects.
