Wynter Straw Died In Domestic Homicide in Northeast Columbia
Robert Clark One day after Wynter Straw, 25, was allegedly shot and killed in a domestic violence episode in Northeast Columbia on Sunday night, family and friends came together to express their support for one another.
Around 6 o’clock on Sunday night, deputies say Straw was discovered shot to death outside the Carrington Place at Wildwood Apartment Homes. She was shot and killed, according to deputies, by a man with whom she had a romantic connection.
According to deputies, the man, whose name has not been made public, spent hours barricading himself in the apartment before killing himself.
The difficult aspect about it, according to Straw’s mother Lashon Williams, is that there were no early warning signals.
Her passing has devastated her family and friends, who want her to be honored for the person she was and the things she achieved.
A rising star, Williams said, “if you met her, you loved her, and if you hadn’t, you wish you had.”
