Will Visty, who lived to be 93 years old, passed away in 2015. His obituary reads. According to his obituary, Omaha, Nebraska resident Will Visty died on March 21, 2019, after a valiant battle with cancer. Will Visty was born on August 30, 1925, in Omaha, to parents Boris A. Visty and Josephine Vacek Visty. After moving to Omaha, he stayed there for the remainder of his life. His relatives left their homeland of the Czech Republic and immigrated to the United States. BJ lost both of his wives. In addition to his parents, sister Victoria, brothers George and Edward, and wives Eleanor Budka Visty (with whom he was married for 21 years) and Helen Horvath Visty (with whom he was married for 30 years), and daughter Antoinette “Toni” Visty (with whom he was married for 30 years), all preceded him in death. He spent 61 of those years with his wife.
His stepchildren Pamela (Jeff Morrow), Judith (Peter Allen), Diane (Bill Hebbert), and John (Grace Janitell), Kathleen (Dean Thomas), Helen Claire (Norm Beulke), and Bernadine, as well as his biological children from previous marriages, all survive him. John (with Grace Janitell), Kathleen (with Dean Thomas), Helen Claire (with Norm Beulke), and Bernadine are his offspring from prior relationships. He has three biological children: Bernadine (with Grace Janitell), John (with Dean Thomas), and Kathleen. To add insult to injury, his stepgrandchildren are the rightful beneficiaries of his estate (Jim Muckey). With Fern Scigo’s love and support, he was able to enjoy his final years to the utmost, and he did just that. Boris has a total of 16 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, of whom he is very proud.
There are a total of 22 members of his extended family: 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Several of his nieces, nephews, and their wives referred to him as Uncle Will or Pops during the duration of their contacts with him. Everyone there knew and liked him. Moreover, he was already well-known among the attendees. Although he has passed away, his brothers Robert and Victor Visty continue to exist and are still very much alive.
Will is a seasoned warrior who served on the USS Monterey, an aircraft carrier, during World War II. Will was a sailor in the US Navy during this time. While serving his country in the Pacific theater of operations, he saw action in numerous conflicts. On September 2, 1945, the day the United States signed the treaty that officially ended the war, he was there on Tokyo Bay to witness the signing. The treaty was signed after the conflict ended.
When not working, Will liked to travel, play golf, and relax at the cabin he owned on South Bend Lake. One of his most cherished activities, though, was catching up with distant relatives. His love for the concept of “family,” which expanded greatly over the years through means like marriage and friendship, will live on as a testament to his character.
