Mary Blige filed for divorce from Isaacs in July 2016 after claiming to realize that he had been unfaithful throughout the marriage.

Divorce procedures involved financial problems, as Isaacs first sought $130,000 per month in spousal maintenance.

During an interview with E! Daily Pop, the 51-year-old revealed that her relationship with her ex-husband, Kendu Isaacs, is the major reason she has never had children.

Blige was married to Isaacs from 2003 to 2016, and she was an involved stepmother to his three children throughout that period.

She revealed recently that she was never going to have children.

She stated that,

I enjoy my independence. I enjoy being able to get up, walkabout, and do anything I want. “I don’t want to be always tending to someone,” she stated. “I don’t think it’ll happen.”
