As a martial artist myself, experiences do not make me agree with Bruce Lee because high kicks like “toro chigi” or “yeup chigi” in taekwondo are very effective.

Who trained Chuck Norris in Taekwondo?

Norris trained under the instruction of Do Sik Mun in the late 1950s while stationed in South Korea with the U.S. Air Force. Mun said that he remembers training the young airman and was impressed with his enthusiasm for learning martial arts.

Norris has received many black belts. These include a 10th-degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, a 9th-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, an 8th-degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 5th-degree black belt in Karate, a 3rd-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu from the Machado family, and a black belt in Judo.
