Talor Gooch is an American professional golfer.

He is the son of Ron Gooch who played baseball in the Texas Rangers’ Organization.

Talor was born on the November 14, 1991 in Thomas, Oklahoma to his loving and supportive dad Ron Gooch and mother Ambre Gooch.

His father Ron Gooch, grew up in Midwest City where he was an outstanding four-sport athlete.

He was a football quarterback, a basketball point guard, and an Oklahoma All-State baseball infielder, and he won a state championship in wrestling.

He was recruited to Southeastern Oklahoma State University by baseball coach Don Parham.

He found immediate success as a second baseman on Savage teams that won three Oklahoma Collegiate Conference championships.

He was also a member of the 1977 Savages squad that advanced to the finals of the NAIA College World Series, losing in the championship game.

His father was a two-time All-Conference selection, and in 1978 he was named the Oklahoma Collegiate Conference Player of the Year.

He was also selected as an NAIA All-American while playing alongside the likes of fellow All-American Brett Butler and Scott Loucks.

Ron was drafted by the Texas Rangers and played five years in the minor leagues, only to suffer career-ending injuries.

He returned to Southeastern in the mid-1980s and earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degrees in education and is now retired after teaching, coaching, and working in the automobile business.

He was inducted into the Southeastern Athletic Hall of Fame on the 23rd of February 2002.
