Salman Rushdie has long faced death threats for his fourth novel, ‘The Satanic Verses’ which was banned in several countries upon publishing. He has been stabbed as he was about to give a lecture in southwestern New York state. Hours after he was attacked, a physician who was among those who rushed to help Rushdie after he was stabbed at a New York state book event, told the news agency AP that the author’s wounds are “serious but recoverable.”

She is the daughter of Vaidyanathan and Vijaya Lakshmi. She was born to her parents on September 1, 1970, in Chennai, India, hence she is 52 years old now. She is the mother of one, a daughter who has been identified as Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell. She welcomed her in  2010 with Adam R. Dell.
