Neil Warnock, an English football manager and former player, is the current manager of Championship side Huddersfield Town (born 1 December 1948).

He is also a pundit on radio and television. In his five-decade managerial career, Warnock has presided over sixteen teams, from non-league to Premier League.

He holds the record for the most promotions in English football with eight. throughout addition, he has handled 1619 games throughout his career, surpassing the previous record of 1601.

After a brief period working in a nearby mortuary, Warnock began his professional playing career with Chesterfield in 1967.

Over the course of his 11-year playing career, he later played for Rotherham United, Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United, Aldershot, Barnsley, York City, and Crewe Alexandra, making a total of 327 league games.

At Hartlepool, he received the 1972 Player of the Season award. He finished his football league career in 1979 at Crewe Alexandra, only 30 years old.

His playing career with Burton Albion was cut short by injury in 1979, but it continued when he returned to the team in 1981 and 1982 as player-manager.

For the rest of his time at Burton, he concentrated on management.He has a short-term deal with Huddersfield Town.
