Kimbrady Carriker has been named as the suspect in the large-scale shooting that occurred on Monday in Southwest Philadelphia.

According to authorities, Carriker, 40, of Philadelphia, was detained in connection with a shooting spree that left five individuals dead and two children injured in the Kingsessing neighbourhood of Philadelphia.

According to Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, there was gunshots just before 8:30 p.m. near South 56th Street and Chester Avenue. She said the guy was caught several blocks away in an alleyway on the 1600 block of South Frazier Street about ten minutes later with police pursuing him as he continued to shoot a gun.

According to authorities, the suspect was taken into custody without a hitch.

In 2021, Tina Rosette, 49, said that she shared a residence with Carriker in the 5600 block of Belmar Terrace for almost a year. He was “really smart, intelligent, creative,” according to her, and he enjoyed writing computer programmes.

She claimed she’d never seen him with a gun before and was horrified to learn that he might have been involved in such a horrible act of gun violence. “I didn’t even know he had a gun,” she claimed.

The two of them got along for a while, and Cianni Rosette, 24, who resided with her mother Tina and Carriker in West Philadelphia, claimed she appreciated his demeanour because it was “cool” and original.

Contrary to her mother, Cianni Rosette claims that Carriker did repeatedly show her a weapon.

He was attempting to make me feel at ease around firearms and other similar objects,” she stated.

She also mentioned that he may occasionally be tough to communicate to since he could be distant or easily irritated, even though he wouldn’t show it.

She claimed that at one time Carriker told her he was “pushy” about wanting to start a relationship with her.

She admitted, “I haven’t actually talked to him since that rejection.

Tina Rosette stated that she thought Carriker had been in “a dark place” lately, though she wasn’t sure why. Tina Rosette and her daughter moved out approximately a year ago.

She claimed that despite her best efforts, she was only able to speak with him occasionally.
