At the Washington Open on Friday, August 5, Russian top seed Andrey Rublev defeated American 13th seed, Maxime Cressy, to advance to the quarterfinals against 99th-ranked US wild card J.J. Wolf.

He excelled himself on Friday, defeating J.J. Wolf in the quarterfinal match that was completed (6-2 6-3). On Saturday he faces Yoshihito Nishioka who happens to be one of the season tennis pro’s from Japan.

Rublev was born in Moscow to the restaurant manager and former professional boxer Andrey Rublev Sr. His dad would probably be in his late 50s however his actual birth day and month is not documented.
