Amy Joanne Robach, a television reporter for American television, was born on February 6, 1973 in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Robach was born and reared in East Lansing, Michigan, before moving to St. Louis, Missouri. Her family moved again, this time to Georgia, where she finished high school and went to college.

She graduated from Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia, and went on to achieve high honors in broadcast journalism at the University of Georgia. She placed as the fourth runner-up for Miss Georgia 1995.
