Alexander was raised in a middle-class family that was heavily influenced by East African migrant culture.

Alexander did not grow up with his parents alone. He grew up in Solna with his brother, Sened Teame.

Isak began his professional career with AIK in 2016, and he then played for Borussia Dortmund and Willem II before joining Real Sociedad in 2019.

He has been a full Swedish international since 2017, and he has more than 30 caps for his country. He also represented Sweden at UEFA Euro 2020.

Alexander is the AIK and Sweden national team’s youngest ever goal scorer.
