Troy Murray is the Chicago Blackhawks Analyst and the former ice hockey player from National Hockey League. Know about his illness and the type of cancer he has.

Troy Murray was born on July 31, 1962, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After he retired from the games, he worked as a color analyst of Chicago Blackhawks hockey games on WGN-AM.  

Beginning his games from Alberta Junior Hockey League followed by Western Hockey League, he was given the title of second all-star twice by Western Collegiate Hockey Association in 1981 and 1982.

He played professional games being an ice hockey center from the year 1982 to 1997. The graduate of the University of North Dakota is going through a severe illness in 2021.

Troy Murray is suffering from Osteosarcoma, which is also called Osteogenic Sarcoma. It happens to be the type of cancer that initiates in bones. Initially, cancer looks like one of the bone cells, but as it grows, it gets identified.

He flashed the news about his illness on August 9, 2021. It might not have been long since he was diagnosed with the disease. On the other hand, he seems optimistic about fighting cancer.

Troy Murray is already a three-decades-old member of the Chicago Blackhawks, including his athlete and analyst years at the stage of his illness. The entire Blackhawk team is ready to support him.  

The winner of the 1996 Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche is being helped by his lifelong organization Chicago Blackhawks, in the treatment. Adding to that, the CEO even calms his wife and children to not worry about anything.

Troy Murray is married to his wife, Konnie. The mother of three grown-up children is currently residing at their place. 

The Osteosarcoma often gets more painful at night. So, it is his wife who has been taking care of the analyst. She, along with her children, is hopeful about his recovery.

His daughter Phoebe is a journalist from Eau Claire, WI. Similarly, he is a proud father who often shares his daughter’s posts on social media.
