Samuel Coleman Every island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes with several fruit trees growing on it. They will all be of the same type, but that variety is determined randomly. The starting fruit varieties are: Apple. Cherry. Orange. Pear. Peach. Regardless of what type you have, the trees will follow the same rules.

What is the worst fruit in Animal Crossing?
When it comes to New Horizons, though, pears are by far the worst fruit to end up. Don’t let the rise of the Pear Gang fool you, pears do not maintain any of their best qualities when translated from reality to the Animal Crossing world. While green pairs well with blue– suggesting that pears might be a good fit for a tropical island– …
Deep red bodies with soft yellow bottoms, Animal Crossing apples have always had a very appealing aesthetic to them. Until recently. While that soft yellow fading can be spotted on the bottoms of all apples, they’re far more subdued, to the point where most will mistake the apples for being entirely red.
Not helping matters is the fact that there’s another red bodied fruit that can populate your island– one that visually pairs with the tropical setting much better. Apples have a classic vibe to them, but nothing beats the novelty of cherries.
To be fair, red pairs well with green and having a field of apple trees at your disposal is as classic as it comes for Animal Crossing, but the blander redesign makes apples a bit less enticing. Especially since they don’t exactly pair well with the deserted island setting.
When people think of deserted islands, chances are they’re going to imagine a few coconut trees littering the beach. It only makes sense that New Horizons would feature coconuts and plenty of them, but coconuts are actually the only fruit players cannot naturally grow on their island .
Only then will you be able to take advantage of coconuts. Coconuts will find a natural spot on anyone’s island considering how thematically appropriate they are, but they also spawn the most unique tree. Where other fruit trees have brown trunks with green leaves, the coconuts end up spawning softly colored palm trees.
While green pairs well with blue– suggesting that pears might be a good fit for a tropical island– the soft green of the pears pairs poorly with the green of the island’s trees. Pears certainly don’t look bad, but seeing green on green so often doesn’t exactly make for the most visually stimulating sight.

If you do come across a foreign fruit, you can get a head start on propagating them on your island by taking the entire tree and just shaking them down when you replant them.
With amiibos, the new villagers (Raymond, Sherb, Audie, etc) don’t have amiibos, but all the other villagers do. However amiibos must be purchased with real money (amiibo spoofing is technically piracy), so if your super desperate for a villager with an amiibo it makes it easier. But the new villagers without amiibos are harder to get.
If you are referring to New Horizons, then there isn’t really a rare fruit type. Once you start the game you have one of the five basic fruit types on your island (apples, pears, oranges, cherries, peaches) and a sister-fruit (again on of the same fruit types listed before). Then there’s coconuts which you obtain when using your Nook Miles Tickets to get to a mystery island. You can obtain the rest of the fruit types by trading with your friend or using a trading site online (I recommend Nookazon or No Fee AC).
Data mining also show that those fish have the same percentage of encountering them.
It would depend on your fruit. If you have apples and peaches, pears and oranges would be rare and vise versa.
